Washington County, Idaho (Map It) was created on February 20, 1879 from Ada County. Washington County was named in honor of George Washington (1732-1799), first President of the United States (1789-1797).

Washington County is bordered by  Adams County (north), Gem County (east), Payette County (south), Malheur County, Oregon (southwest), Baker County, Oregon (west).

Washington County Cities and Towns include Cambridge, Midvale, Weiser.
