Knox County, Nebraska Records

Knox County, Nebraska (Map It) was created on February 10, 1857 from Pierce County and Unorganized area of the Nebraska Territory. It was originally named L’Eau Qui Court County and on February 18, 1867 it was renamed to Emmet County. On February 21, 1873 it was renamed to Knox County. The county was named in honor of Henry Knox, the first United States Secretary of War.
