Since I enjoy genealogical research, I do not charge for my time; however, I expect to be reimbursed for expenses incurred to fulfill your requests. Since Colorado has a very tight vital records disclosure law, birth and death record requests less than 100 years old are very difficult to support for anyone not directly descended from the subject of the request. I can, however, help you by providing contact information for the appropriate agencies so that you can request the birth and death records yourself. Marriage records are a matter of public record in Colorado so those requests are easier to support. I can also support research requests for land and court actions. In order that you use my time most efficiently, I respectfully request that you have a very good idea of what you want me to look for. I really do not enjoy chasing wild geese.
