Courthouse History

The Fremont County Courthouse is located in Sidney, Iowa. Fremont County was attached to Appanoose County for a breif time prior to organization September 10, 1849. Some early records may be found there. The 2nd Courthouse was damaged by a gunny sack full of dynamite in 1863.
