Union County, Georgia Records

Union County, Georgia (Map It) was created on December 3, 1832 from Cherokee County. Portions of Union County were used to create Fannin County in 1854 and Towns County in 1856. Union County was named in honor of Federal union of the states.

Union County is bordered by  Cherokee County, North Carolina (north), Clay County, North Carolina (northeast), Towns County (east), White County (southeast), Lumpkin County (south), Fannin County (west)

Union County, GA Courthouse

The Union County Courthouse is located in Blairsville, Georgia. The County Courthouse was destroyed by fire in 1859, most records were destroyed.
