We found that after the site had been online for three years we needed an avenue to be able to reach all of our volunteers. In January of 2002 a monthly newsletter was established to accomplish this need. This newsletter is sent out between the 25th and last day of the month, and receiving it is mandatory as a volunteer on this site.
The purpose of this newsletter is twofold. The first and foremost is to communicate to the volunteers any changes that may be taking place on the website, whether changes in policy or new features added. The second is the culling out of e-mail addresses that are no longer valid.
