Wilcox County, Georgia Records

Wilcox County, Georgia (Map It) was created on December 22, 1857 from Dooly County, Irwin County, and Pulaski County. Portions of Wilcox County were used to create Turner County in 1905 and Ben Hill County in 1906). Wilcox County was named in honor of General Mark Wilcox (1800 - 50), a noted soldier and state legislator.

Wilcox County is bordered by  Pulaski County (north), Dodge County (east), Telfair County (east), Ben Hill County (south), Turner County (southwest), Crisp County (west), Dooly County (northwest).
