Pike County, Georgia Records

Pike County, Georgia (Map It) was created on December 9, 1822 from Monroe County. Portions of Pike County were used to help create the following counties: Upson County (1824), Spalding County (1851), and Lamar County (1920). Pike County was named in honor of General Zebulon Pike (1779 - 1813), explorer and a hero of the War of 1812.

Pike County is bordered by  Spalding County (north), Lamar County (east), Upson County (south), Meriwether County (west)
